Major Crackdown Against Electricity Theft on Bandar Road – Dozens of Connections Severed, Wires Destroyed

A major and coordinated crackdown was carried out by SEPCO and the local administration in various areas of Bandar Road Subdivision against electricity theft and non-payment of bills. The operation was led by XEN Nizamuddin Pirzada and SDO Jan Muhammad Bugti, who supervised the proceedings on-site.
The joint team included SEPCO officials along with administrative representatives, including Farhan Ali Mako, Munawar Zaman, Gul Zaman, Barkat Mehr, Zulfiqar, and other personnel. The team conducted raids at multiple locations, disconnecting dozens of illegal electricity connections and burning the wires on the spot.
Sources revealed that SEPCO had been suffering losses of millions of rupees due to electricity theft. During the operation, not only were electricity thieves targeted, but the on-site staff also encouraged citizens to obtain electricity through legal means.
SEPCO officials stated that electricity theft causes irreparable damage to the national economy and power infrastructure, and a zero-tolerance policy is being implemented to combat it. Authorities made it clear that such operations will continue, and strict legal action will be taken against those involved in electricity theft
