Rana Sanaullah Says Attempts Are Being Made to Link Alleged Kidnapping Case to Ishaq Dar

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Adviser on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has said that attempts are being made to link the case involving the alleged kidnapping and sexual assault of foreign women to Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, describing such efforts as politically motivated.

Speaking on Geo News’ current affairs program Naya Pakistan, Rana Sanaullah said the matter was being unnecessarily sensationalized.

“The alleged kidnapping and sexual assault case involving foreign women is being blown out of proportion. An attempt is being made to turn a non-issue into an issue,” he said.

Rana Sanaullah further claimed that some people were trying to drag Ishaq Dar into the controversy despite there being no justification for doing so.

“An effort is being made to connect this matter to Ishaq Dar,” he said.

He added that every individual is responsible for his or her own words and actions, arguing that responsibility for any alleged wrongdoing rests with those directly involved rather than with unrelated public figures.

The adviser also alleged that certain individuals with what he described as “ulterior motives” were deliberately amplifying the issue for a specific purpose.

The case remains under investigation by Punjab Police. Authorities have arrested multiple suspects, and no evidence has been publicly presented linking Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar to the alleged crimes. The allegations against the suspects have yet to be proven in a court of law.
