A suspect who allegedly deliberately drove his vehicle into police officers while attempting to evade police checking has been arrested following a timely police blockade. A case is being registered against him under provisions of the Anti-Terrorism Act.

The incident took place within the jurisdiction of Tando Jam Police Station near Jamali Pump on the Hyderabad–Tando Allahyar Road. The Incharge of RRF Tando Jam, along with his staff, was conducting checking when they attempted to stop a suspicious white car bearing registration number BGV-075.

The driver allegedly accelerated the vehicle deliberately and drove it into the police personnel in an attempt to evade checking, injuring ASI Ali Raza Brohi, Incharge RRF Tando Jam, and Police Constable Aqeel Saraz. The suspect subsequently fled the scene.

Upon receiving information about the incident, police immediately shifted the injured officers to hospital, where they were provided initial medical treatment.
