Israeli military attacks children waiting for food aid in Gaza; 15 Palestinians martyred including 10 children
At least 15 Palestinians, including 10 children and 3 women, were martyred in an Israeli airstrike in the central Gaza area of Deir al-Balah.
According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, the Israeli military targeted a medical point that was providing food and medical supplements to sick children and women.
The statement further said that this attack exposes the occupying army’s policy of massacre against children, women, and civilians. “Through bombing, Israeli forces are blindly targeting civilian populations, markets, and basic facilities,” it added.
Videos from Gaza’s Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital showed children’s bodies on the floor and injured victims being treated by medical staff.
The Israeli army claimed it had targeted a Hamas militant in the area. In its statement, the army expressed regret over the harm caused to innocent people and said that an investigation into the incident is underway.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, 82 people were martyred and 247 wounded in Israeli attacks over the past 24 hours.
Since the beginning of Israeli aggression in Gaza on October 7, 2023, a total of 57,762 Palestinians have been martyred, and 137,656 have been injured.
