Sohail Afridi Moves Court Seeking Meeting with Imran Khan Over Budget Consultation

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court seeking permission to meet PTI founder Imran Khan in jail for consultation on the upcoming provincial budget.

According to Geo News, the chief minister stated in his application that the budget is a highly sensitive matter and requested permission on constitutional, legal, and humanitarian grounds to meet Imran Khan.

Sohail Afridi said the budget has already been prepared, but its approval is required from Imran Khan, making the meeting necessary for finalization.

Meanwhile, KP Adviser on Finance Muzammil Aslam alleged that only six development projects from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been included in the federal development program, adding that the federal budget contains little or nothing for the province.

The matter is now expected to be taken up by the court for hearing.
