Rahim Yar Khan — A tragic incident occurred in Rahim Yar Khan when the roof of a shop collapsed during the distribution of relief funds, resulting in the deaths of five women.

According to local police, the women had gathered at a shop in Chak 125 P to receive aid when the roof suddenly gave way. The collapse caused chaos, injuring several others who were present at the scene.

Deputy Commissioner Zaheer Anwar confirmed the fatalities and stated that multiple women sustained injuries in the accident. Rescue operations were immediately launched to assist the victims.

The Principal of Sheikh Zayed College Hospital, Rahim Yar Khan, reported that 30 injured women were brought to the hospital for treatment. Authorities are providing medical care and assessing the condition of the injured, while investigations into the cause of the roof collapse are underway.

Officials have urged the public to exercise caution during aid distribution events and ensure that venues are structurally safe to prevent such tragedies in the future.
