Kot Ghulam Muhammad witnessed a protest similar to other parts of Sindh, where candidates who appeared in the IBA Sukkur 2021 test and secured between 33 to 39 marks staged a demonstration at the Awami Press Club. The protest was led by Abdul Hameed Khoso, Akhtar Ali Kunbhar, and Tehmoor Laghari, who appealed to the Sindh Government to declare the entire province a “hard area” and pass all candidates with 33 marks for teacher recruitment.

According to details, the protesters stated that Sindh’s Education Minister, Syed Sardar Shah, had approved teacher recruitments in certain districts under the “hard area” policy for candidates scoring 32 and 33 marks. However, they argued that the educational situation across Sindh is uniformly challenging, and therefore the same relaxation should be extended to all districts. They emphasized that many qualified youth are becoming overage and are no longer eligible to apply for other government jobs, which is causing frustration and unemployment among educated young people.
