In Balochistan’s districts of Washuk, Loralai, and Musakhel, three people — including a child and two young men — lost their lives due to lightning strikes and a collapsing wall during intense rainfall.

According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), recent heavy rains, stormy winds, and lightning have caused damage in several areas across Balochistan.

PDMA officials reported that flash floods have damaged multiple houses. In Washuk district, the floods caused partial damage to residential properties, boundary walls, and agricultural lands. A detailed damage assessment survey is currently underway.

In Loralai, a young girl named Aliza died after a wall collapsed due to heavy stormy rain. In Musakhel district, two young men, Abdul Haleem and Jamal Din, were killed after being struck by lightning.

Authorities also stated that in both Loralai and Surab, the heavy rains combined with powerful winds have damaged several homes and solar panels.

Meanwhile, PDMA has forecast more stormy rain tonight and tomorrow in Dera Bugti, Naseerabad, and Sohbatpur.

PDMA Director General Jahanzeb Khan confirmed that the agency is fully prepared to deal with any emergency situation arising from the expected heavy rains in Dera Bugti, Naseerabad, and Sohbatpur. Relevant departments have also been alerted.
