Islamabad: The federal government has unveiled details of the funds allocated for various development projects in Karachi under the upcoming fiscal year’s budget, with significant investments planned for infrastructure, water supply, public transport, and municipal improvement schemes across the city.

According to the official budget documents, billions of rupees have been earmarked for projects aimed at addressing Karachi’s longstanding urban challenges and improving essential civic services for its growing population.

Rs7.5 Billion Allocated for Karachi Urban Infrastructure Development Package

One of the largest allocations in the federal budget is Rs7.5 billion for the Karachi Urban Infrastructure Development Package. The initiative is designed to support major infrastructure upgrades, including roads, drainage systems, public facilities, and urban development works intended to improve living conditions across the metropolis.

Rs10 Billion for Greater Karachi Water Supply Scheme
