Washington: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House for the second time in two days, but no official statement was released regarding their discussions.

The second meeting also took place over dinner and lasted for about 90 minutes. However, neither the White House nor the Israeli Prime Minister’s office issued any details about the conversation. Netanyahu left the White House without speaking to the media.

Prior to the meeting, President Trump had stated that he would discuss the Gaza situation with the Israeli Prime Minister, emphasizing that the issue needed to be resolved. He mentioned that Israel and Hamas had resolved 3 out of 4 key issues.

According to some media reports, no significant breakthrough was achieved regarding a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. Discussions reportedly focused on Israel’s military presence in various areas in the event of a withdrawal from Gaza. However, a mechanism for delivering aid to Palestinians was agreed upon.

At the end of the Trump-Netanyahu meeting, it was announced that President Trump’s advisor on Middle East affairs, Steve Witkoff, had postponed his planned visit to Doha, where indirect talks between Hamas and Israel were set to begin.

Witkoff had earlier expressed hope that a 60-day ceasefire could be reached by the end of the week.

Before Netanyahu’s visit to the White House, a Qatari delegation held several hours of talks with senior U.S. officials there.
