The Regional Director of the Provincial Ombudsman Sindh, Badin, Abdul Wahab Memon, held an open katcheri (public hearing) at Bilawal Park, Tando Bago, to listen to citizens’ complaints regarding various government departments.

Before the session, Director Memon also paid detailed visits to the Government Girls Higher Secondary School and the Civil Hospital Tando Bago, reviewing facilities and interacting with staff and students.

During the open katcheri, citizens raised issues concerning education, health, revenue, police, water supply schemes, local government, drainage, education works, zakat, highways, NRSP, irrigation, and public health departments.

While addressing the gathering, Abdul Wahab Memon assured the citizens that all genuine grievances would be resolved. He emphasized that the purpose of these open hearings is to provide justice at the people’s doorstep and that such sessions are being organized across all tehsil headquarters in the district.

Several complaints were lodged, including requests for the establishment of a boys’ primary school in Dehi city, installation of RO water plants, improvement of roads, and enhancement of health services at the Rural Health Center in Dehi. Other citizens reported land encroachments on graveyards and plots, for which immediate directives were issued on-site.

Mr. Memon clarified that filing a complaint with the Ombudsman’s office does not require a lawyer — citizens can simply submit a written application or file it online via the official portal.

Taking notice of certain complaints, the Regional Director also visited the graveyard and Dehi Road, issuing instructions for their maintenance and encroachment removal.

Among those present were Tando Bago Town Chairman Khan Sahib Jamali, Additional District Health Officer Dr. Rasool Bux Memon, DSP Raj Kumar, Medical Superintendent Civil Hospital Dr. Aftab Alam Jamali, Assistant Registrar Ombudsman Office Badin Raza Muhammad Dil, District Information Officer Sarfraz Samoon, Taluka Education Officer (Secondary) Yaseen Kumbhar, Hassan Faraz, and other concerned officials.

Earlier, during his visit to the Girls Higher Secondary School Tando Bago, Mr. Memon briefed the students on the functions of the Provincial Ombudsman and the procedure for lodging complaints. He expressed satisfaction over the attendance and cleanliness observed at the school.

At the Civil Hospital Tando Bago, he reviewed the ongoing polio campaign, administered polio drops to children, and encouraged parents to cooperate fully with polio teams to protect children from lifelong disability.

Taking notice of an outdated, non-functional dental unit, he directed that a new, modern dental unit be provided to Tando Bago Hospital, and announced that letters would be sent to the DHO and relevant departments to expedite this request.
