Water Crisis in Micro Colony Enters 15th Year, Protest Continues for Fourth Consecutive Day

Residents of Micro Colony continued their protest for the fourth consecutive day against the severe drinking water crisis in the area.
Leaders of the Micro Colony Action Committee—Aidan Jagirani, Saifullah Rind, Hakim Chandio, Abdul Khaliq Jagirani, Abdul Basit Shar,and others—voiced their frustration, stating that despite being located on the bank of the Indus River, the colony has been deprived of drinking water for the past 15 years.They accused the authorities and elected representatives of remaining silent spectators in the face of public suffering. Protesters also alleged that they are being threatened in an attempt to suppress the movement, but vowed to resist such tactics.
The leaders emphasized that if water supply to the homes of those in power were disrupted for even a single day, they would begin to understand the suffering of the common people. They demanded immediate resolution of the water crisis and strict action against those responsible.
