Erdogan: Israel Must Not Be Allowed to Drag the Region Back into War

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Israel must not be allowed to plunge the Middle East into another cycle of war and bloodshed, reaffirming Türkiye’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions.

According to a statement issued by the Turkish Presidency, President Erdogan stressed that Türkiye would continue backing diplomatic initiatives designed to ease tensions and promote regional stability.

Referring to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding between Iran and the United States, Erdogan said the agreement had brought a sense of relief to the international community.

“The world breathed a sigh of relief following the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding between Iran and the United States,” he said.

The Turkish president added that Ankara is closely monitoring what he described as Israel’s provocative actions in the region.

“We are closely following Israel’s provocative steps. The Israeli government, which has become accustomed to war, must never be allowed to once again drag the entire region into the smell of gunpowder and blood,” Erdogan said.

His remarks come amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions in the Middle East and prevent further escalation of regional conflicts.
