Annual Urs of Hazrat Muhammad Yusuf Shah Badshah (RA) Held Near Tandojam

Hyderabad – The annual Urs of the revered Sufi saint Hazrat Muhammad Yusuf Shah Badshah (RA) was celebrated with deep devotion, spiritual enthusiasm, and traditional reverence at Maso Bhragri near Tandojam, under the auspices of Anjuman-e-Ghulaman-e-Qalandar Welfare Sindh. The Urs, a significant spiritual and cultural gathering, drew large numbers of devotees, followers of the Qalandari order, social figures, and youth from various regions of Sindh.

The event began with collective recitation of Darood Shareef, Quran recitation circles, and other spiritual practices traditionally associated with Sufi gatherings. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of harmony, inner peace, and spiritual awakening, reflecting the deep bond that the followers hold with Hazrat Muhammad Yusuf Shah Badshah (RA), who is known for his message of love, tolerance, humility, and service to humanity.

On this blessed occasion, the 33rd spiritual and research-based book authored by the organization’s head, Syed Ghulam Haider Qalandari, titled Hidayat Naamo Salook Qalandari, was formally launched. The book was widely appreciated by participants, scholars, and spiritual seekers for its informative and transformative content relating to inner purification, Sufi spiritual discipline, and the essence of love for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

While addressing the large spiritual congregation, Syed Ghulam Haider Qalandari delivered an insightful and thought-provoking speech. He said that the present societal climate is marred by intolerance, unrest, selfishness, and moral decay. Many young individuals face emotional deprivation, confusion, and lack of direction, which is contributing to widespread social imbalance. He stressed that remembrance of Allah, recitation of Darood Shareef, and gaining knowledge from the works of pious predecessors can guide society back toward peace, compassion, and unity.

He emphasized that the modern world is advancing rapidly with technology, innovation, and artificial intelligence. Therefore, Muslims, especially the youth of Pakistan, must adopt a positive and progressive approach to learning and development. He said, “In the age of Artificial Intelligence and ChatGPT, it is essential for us to align with knowledge, research, and innovation so that we as a nation and the Muslim Ummah can walk alongside the developed nations.”

Syed Ghulam Haider Qalandari stated that Anjuman-e-Ghulaman-e-Qalandar Welfare Sindh is a unique spiritual and welfare organization in Pakistan where a large number of youth are actively engaged in self-reformation, remembrance of Allah, recitation of Darood, and practicing the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He encouraged the youth to develop the habit of reading books, learning history, and adopting discipline in life. He advised them to use social media responsibly for knowledge, awareness, and positive contributions to society.

Highlighting the honored status of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), he said, “The Seerah of the Prophet (PBUH), His extraordinary love for His Ummah, and the immense virtues of sending Darood and Salam are a guiding light for every believer.” He added that real spirituality is not merely ceremonial; it is realized when individuals attune themselves to the demands of the time, promote communal harmony, adopt patience, spread happiness, and work for peace and brotherhood.

During the Urs ceremony, astonishing collective worship activities took place, which included:

  • Recitation of 1,76,92,00,000 (1.76 Billion) Darood Shareef
  • 178 Khatm-ul-Quran
  • 22 Dala’il-ul-Khayrat recitations
  • 319 collective recitations of Surah Yaseen

Participants engaged in these spiritual practices with full devotion, believing in their blessings for personal peace, community well-being, and the overall unity of the Ummah.

Additionally, a free medical camp and book stalls featuring religious, spiritual, and reformative literature were set up for visitors and local residents. The initiative was appreciated by many, especially those who received free health check-ups and guidance.
