Pakistan bags unprecedented success on global front in last 18-month: Kh Asif

Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said Pakistan has achieved unprecedented success over the past 18 months as Islamabad has appeared as a symbol of peace from its earlier status ie associated with terrorism.

Addressing the annual convocation of a private college in Sialkot, Kh Asif said that incumbent government has achieved several accomplishments that had no parallel in country’s 78 year history.

He credited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Field Marshal for their role in brokering peace deal in the Middle East between US and Iran, safeguarding the region from instability.

Talking about education, the minister emphasized the importance of quality education by saying that an educated society could never default therefore learning should continue throughout life.

He expressed satisfaction over the high number of female graduates, noting that women made up around 80% of the graduating class.

Kh Asif called for a uniform curriculum across the country to strengthen national identity and urged politicians to prioritize Pakistan’s development over political confrontation. He concluded by thanking the people of Sialkot, saying his political career was rooted in the city and his family would always remain grateful to this city.
