Islamabad (Reporter) – In light of the rising tensions following Israel’s attack on Iran, Pakistan has issued guidelines advising its citizens to avoid non-essential travel to Iran and Iraq.

A statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that given the current situation, Pakistani citizens are urged to refrain from unnecessary travel to Iran and Iraq. The statement also advised pilgrims to make travel decisions with caution.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs mentioned that the Pakistani embassies in both Iran and Iraq are in constant communication regarding the rapidly changing situation.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has instructed that every possible assistance be provided to facilitate the return of Pakistani pilgrims from Iran and ensure their safety.

A Crisis Management Cell has been established at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the Prime Minister’s direction. Relevant authorities have also been instructed to take necessary steps for the safety of the pilgrims.

The Prime Minister emphasized that all available resources should be mobilized for the safe return of the pilgrims, and until the situation returns to normal, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Pakistani Embassy in Iran should remain on high alert.

It is worth noting that Israel conducted airstrikes on several areas of Iran this morning, targeting military leadership residences, military facilities, and nuclear sites. These attacks resulted in the martyrdom of six scientists and several senior military officers.
