Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tessori, has announced the launch of an ambitious “Governor Youth Program” aimed at empowering Pakistan’s youth with opportunities in leadership, governance, and economic development. Addressing a large public gathering in Surjani Town, the Governor emphasized that the youth are the real future of Pakistan and must be included in national decision-making processes to build a stronger, more prosperous country.

Speaking to thousands of supporters, Governor Tessori stated that Pakistan’s future will remain incomplete unless young people from all social and economic backgrounds are given equal opportunities to participate in the country’s development. He noted that the program will focus on training young citizens in government systems, information technology, entrepreneurship, and civic responsibility, enabling them to become active contributors to society and the economy.

The Governor announced that 1,000 children from Surjani Town will soon receive free IT education at the Governor House, where various advanced courses in modern technology are already being conducted. He highlighted that this initiative will provide underprivileged youth with skills that can help them secure jobs in competitive global markets.

During his address, Governor Tessori also announced significant steps to support the Bengali community living in Karachi. He promised that they would be provided identity cards, passports, and other legal rights according to the constitution and law of Pakistan. He stressed that no community living in the city should feel marginalized or deprived of basic civic entitlements.

The Governor praised the organizers and participants of the event, calling them the “heroes of today,” and appreciated their unity and dedication to the city’s future. He further said that the next Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) and Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPAs) representing Surjani Town will be chosen directly by the public, indicating a push for stronger public accountability in the democratic process.

Governor Tessori added that development projects in Surjani Town will be designed based on direct recommendations from the local residents. This approach, he said, will ensure that funds are used where they are genuinely required, rather than through traditional bureaucratic or political preferences.

Reaffirming his commitment to public service, he stated that MQM-Pakistan is a reflection of Karachi’s diverse population, representing all languages, cultures, and ethnicities that call Karachi home. He vowed to continue efforts to eliminate corruption and protect the rights of laborers, rickshaw drivers, and taxi drivers, who he described as the backbone of urban life.

The Governor credited Dr. Farooq Sattar for playing a vital role in securing key facilities for the area, including plans for new police stations, an electricity grid station, and a NADRA registration center in Surjani Town. These new facilities, he said, will further ease daily life for local residents and enhance law enforcement and civic access.

Governor Tessori maintained that he has fulfilled every promise he made to the people. He cited the establishment of the IT University at Governor House, ration support programs, employment schemes, and the Governor’s Initiative for 24-hour public access to the Governor House as clear examples of his commitment to transparency and accessibility.

Furthermore, he proposed to the Federal Minister for Health to establish a modern hospital in Surjani Town, and also recommended the Federal Minister for Education to set up a new university in the region to expand higher education opportunities for local youth.

The gathering concluded with a spectacular firework display, which added a festive atmosphere to the event and was warmly appreciated by the public, marking the end of a powerful and symbolic evening of political engagement and community unity.
