Warrants and Absconder Status Maintained for Ali Amin in Faizabad Protest Case
Islamabad: In the Faizabad protest case triggered by the disqualification of PTI founder Imran Khan, the warrants and absconder status of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur remain in effect.
Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra of the Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Court heard the case related to the Faizabad protest. During the hearing, Ali Amin Gandapur did not appear in court.
The court upheld the warrants and absconder status for Gandapur and directed Islamabad police to enforce the decision of the Peshawar High Court.
Additionally, the court initiated proceedings to declare Aamir Mehmood Kiyani an absconder.
PTI leader Faisal Javed submitted a plea for acquittal. The judge responded that a decision on the request would be announced after hearing arguments from the prosecutor today.
It is noteworthy that a case against Ali Amin Gandapur, Faisal Javed, and others is registered at I-9 Police Station.
