Pakistan Introduces Online Visa and Visa on Arrival Facilities

Pakistan has introduced online visa facilities for citizens of 192 countries and visa-on-arrival for citizens of 120 countries.

According to details, this announcement was made by Federal Minister for the Investment Board, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, while addressing the Sustainable Tourism Forum and Expo, organized in collaboration with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the Islamic Chamber of Commerce.

Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh explained that under the new digital system, foreign nationals can apply for a Pakistani visa online, eliminating the need to visit embassies. This process is not only faster and easier but also promotes transparency.

He further stated that these reforms will boost international tourism and make it easier for foreign visitors to enjoy Pakistan’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.

The online visa program is part of Pakistan’s broader economic and tourism reform agenda, which includes investment opportunities and business facilitation. The minister added that tourism plays a key role in creating jobs, promoting commercial activity, and increasing GDP.

Atif Ikram Sheikh, President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, said that Pakistan’s cultural and geographical diversity makes it unique for tourists. He added that with improved security and modern digital infrastructure, Pakistan will attract international tourists, business travelers, and investors in the sectors of adventure, heritage, and eco-tourism.
