Sherry calls on PTI to call off long march unconditionally
PPP central leader, Sherry Rehman, has called on PTI to completely and unconditionally call off its proposed long march, saying such actions could escalate violence instead of reducing it.
Speaking to the media, Sherry Rehman said the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was alarming, with soldiers and police personnel being martyred in attacks by Fitna-ul-Khawarij and others.
She said terrorism was a red line for the PPP and stressed that the party did not stage long marches for the sake of a single individual.
Moreover, Sherry Rehman said she could not comment on PTI’s demands at this stage, adding that mutual trust should not be undermined.
She said the ongoing dialogue needed time to produce results and expressed hope that negotiations would be concluded and a decision reached tomorrow.
