At the Agricultural Research Center in Tandojam, the employees’ union SARANGIA held elections for its Tandojam Unit, forming a new body under the supervision of the organization’s central leadership. The newly elected office bearers were welcomed with flower garlands in a ceremony attended by workers and officials.

According to the results, Mumtaz Baloch was elected Chairman, Dildar Solangi as President, Rustam Kaleri as Senior Vice President, Ejaz Umrani as General Secretary, Rafiq Ahmed Khaskheli as Deputy General Secretary, Rajab Ali Channa as Treasurer, Wajid Ali Sandilo as Press Secretary, and Mukhtiar Ali Magsi as Office Secretary, along with several other members.

During the event, the newly elected representatives delivered motivational speeches, reaffirming the organization’s commitment to protecting workers’ rights. They said that SARANGIA has always spoken up for laborers and never compromised for personal gains. Instead, the organization has consistently demanded that authorities fulfill their responsibilities toward employees and ensure justice for every worker.

The union leaders highlighted that the employees of the Agricultural Research Center have always worked tirelessly for the improvement and progress of the institution. “Junior staff members perform their duties with sincerity and dedication, treating their work as a form of worship,” one of the leaders remarked.

The new office bearers pledged to take strong initiatives for the regularization of contract workers, raising their salaries according to government policy, eliminating corruption within the department, and ensuring the renovation of employee residential quarters. They also promised to launch new welfare programs to improve the living and working conditions of laborers.

The leaders further stated that under the guidance of SARANGIA’s central leadership and in accordance with the organization’s constitutional principles, all legitimate demands of the workers will be presented before the concerned authorities. They vowed to pursue every issue persistently until fair solutions are achieved for the labor community.
