The father’s turban (symbol of leadership) has been passed on to the son…

After the demise of Syed Arsalan Shah, his son Syed Pir Muhammad Shah was ceremonially crowned with his father’s turban. Following the death of his father, during the ritual of the third day (Teejhi), the son was given the father’s turban by the elders and notable figures of the community, formally entrusting him with the leadership.

Wearing the turban carries great responsibility — one has to take care of the community, neighbors, and tribal affairs. After receiving the turban, the responsibilities of seniority and leadership rest upon one’s shoulders.
