The federal government has issued disciplinary orders in the federal bureaucracy, reinstating a suspended officer after departmental proceedings while imposing the major penalty of forced retirement on another suspended officer.

According to notifications issued by the Establishment Division, Grade-18 Office Management Group (OMG) officer Amna Shuja, who had been suspended under a notification dated March 18, 2026, has been reinstated in government service with immediate effect.

The notification stated that following the completion of disciplinary proceedings against Amna Shuja under the Civil Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules, 2020, she has been awarded the major penalty of demotion from her permanent post and pay scale to a lower post and pay scale for a period of two months, with immediate effect.

According to the notification, Amna Shuja has the right to file an appeal within 30 days under the Civil Servants (Appeal) Rules, 1977.

In another notification, the Establishment Division said disciplinary proceedings against Grade-18 Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) officer Adnan Zafar Khan had also been completed.

Following the conclusion of the proceedings, the government imposed the major penalty of forced retirement on Adnan Zafar Khan with immediate effect.

According to the notification, Adnan Zafar Khan may also approach the relevant appellate authority within 30 days of the issuance of the notification under the Civil Servants (Appeal) Rules, 1977.
