Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended felicitation on the successful conduct of the first phase of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections.

In a statement issued in Islamabad on Tuesday, PM Shehbaz Sharif also congratulated the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on securing a clear lead in the first phase of the AJK elections.

He said the PML-N conducted a highly successful election campaign in Azad Jammu and Kashmir under the leadership of the party president, Nawaz Sharif. He said the active participation of political parties in the first phase of the elections reflects the successful conduct of the democratic process.

Shehbaz Sharif urged the people to participate in the remaining phases of the elections with the same enthusiasm to further strengthen the democratic process.
