How to Repay the IMF Loan? Mahmood Achakzai Presents a Proposal

Quetta (Reporter): The Chairman of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, stated that the current situation in the region is a major test for the rulers of Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran. He emphasized that considering the country’s fragile condition, all parties should unite to remove the current government.

During a press conference in Quetta, he said that the real test for the rulers is how they deal with the present situation. He mentioned that the country is in an extremely critical state, where 100 to 120 million people are living below the poverty line, and the country is burdened with billions of dollars in debt.

Achakzai proposed that the assets of those individuals who have been in power and have accumulated wealth beyond their resources and income should be confiscated in order to repay the IMF loan.

He further stated that those who have not changed their loyalty are being targeted, while those who believe in democracy should have no contact with the current government.

He added that the situation in Iran calls for the establishment of a national alliance in Pakistan, which would only be possible if the current government is removed.

Achakzai said that the people of Pakistan have the power to run the country, and every province should have a right to its own resources. There should be supremacy of the constitution in the country, and those who violate the constitution should be punished.

The leader of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party also expressed that they love democracy, and quoted Nawaz Sharif’s slogan “Respect the Vote,” but stated that the current situation is such that even the family of the founder of PTI is not allowed to meet him in Adiala Jail.

He accused the government of intentionally pushing the country toward a civil war and stated that the oppression against Balochistan continues.
