Former Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, Dr. Abdullah bin Omar bin Muhammad Naseef, Passes Away in Jeddah
Jeddah: The Muslim world has lost one of its most respected and influential scholars, as Dr. Abdullah bin Omar bin Muhammad Naseef, former Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (Rābiṭah al-ʿĀlam al-Islāmī) and former Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council, passed away in Jeddah after a prolonged illness.
Dr. Abdullah bin Omar bin Muhammad Naseef was regarded as a towering intellectual figure and a beloved personality across the Islamic world. Known for his lifelong commitment to promoting Islamic unity, moderation, and global cooperation, he dedicated decades of service to advancing dialogue among Muslim nations and strengthening ties between the Islamic world and the international community.
According to official sources, his funeral prayer (Salat al-Janazah) will be offered on Sunday at the Al-Juffali Mosque in Jeddah, following which his burial will take place at the Asad Cemetery. The funeral is expected to be attended by prominent religious scholars, dignitaries, and admirers from across Saudi Arabia and beyond, all paying their final respects to a man who spent his life in the service of Islam and humanity.
