Pakistan Will Not Tolerate Terrorism Originating from Afghan Soil: Field Marshal Asim Munir

Peshawar
Pakistan’s Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has made it clear that Pakistan will not tolerate any form of terrorism emanating from Afghan territory, stressing that while Pakistan desires peace with all its neighbors — especially Afghanistan — it will firmly defend its sovereignty and security.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir visited Peshawar, where he was given a comprehensive briefing on counter-terrorism operations currently underway to ensure stability and security along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

During the visit, the Field Marshal also met with tribal elders, acknowledging their sacrifices and contributions toward maintaining peace in the region. He emphasized that the people of the tribal areas have always stood shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan’s armed forces in the fight against terrorism.

The ISPR stated that the Field Marshal received a detailed update at the Peshawar Corps Headquarters regarding the prevailing regional security situation and the operational preparedness of the Pakistan Army.

Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to eliminate terrorism in all its forms and to safeguard every inch of national territory. He said Pakistan remains committed to fostering peace, development, and cooperation across the region but would respond decisively to any threat to its stability or sovereignty.

“Pakistan wants friendly and peaceful relations with all neighboring countries, including Afghanistan,” he stated, “but there will be zero tolerance for cross-border terrorism.”
