Khairpur: Law and order in Khairpur has reportedly deteriorated, with citizens claiming that local police are prioritizing political protocol over public safety. Residents have expressed frustration over repeated incidents of crime and lack of police accountability.

According to reports, Imran Ali Siyal, a resident of a village under the jurisdiction of AC Section Police Station, reached the local press club to protest. He alleged that a few days ago, while traveling on Khairpur Link Road, armed assailants on motorcycles forcibly seized his new Honda motorcycle, mobile phone, and cash amounting to several thousand rupees before fleeing the scene.

Despite filing a complaint, Imran Ali Siyal claims that the SHO of AC Section Police Station has failed to apprehend the culprits. He expressed frustration over having to repeatedly visit the SSP office and AC Section Police, stating that the police seem to be following “anti-peace policies” rather than ensuring public safety.

Imran Ali Siyal further alleged that the police are requesting recommendations from an MPA to act against the suspects, which he does not possess, leaving him without recourse.

He demanded that the D.I.G. Sukkur, SSP Khairpur, and relevant authorities take immediate notice of the incident, register a formal case, recover the stolen motorcycle and property, arrest the culprits, and ensure that justice is served.
