Makran: A pod of humpback dolphins was spotted swimming alongside a fishing boat along the eastern coast of Makran, creating a rare and captivating sight for local fishermen.

According to reports, the dolphins were seen moving gracefully near the fishing vessel, indicating their comfort in the coastal waters of the region. Similar sightings of humpback dolphin pods have also been reported in Pasni and Jiwani, suggesting an increased presence of the species along Pakistan’s southwestern coastline.

Environmental officials have welcomed the development. The Deputy Director of Environment stated that the large number of dolphins in the area is a positive ecological sign, as it reflects the availability of abundant marine food resources in the coastal waters.
