A colorful traditional bull-racing festival was held at Dargah Mir Faqir Bachal Leghari in village Ghaus Bakhsh Leghari near Bhriyasati, drawing enthusiasts from across Sindh for a day of cultural celebration. The event, locally known as the Dand Ji Hur Kheeri, attracted large crowds as passionate bull owners brought their prized pairs from various districts, turning the rural landscape into a vibrant scene of excitement and festivity.

According to local sources, the cultural fair was organized to commemorate the memory of the late Fatah Muhammad Leghari. The event was arranged by social organizers Ghulam Rasool Brohi and Waqaar Leghari, under the supervision of the Sindh Bar Council member Abdul Sattar Leghari, who attended as the chief guest.

Bull enthusiasts and participants arrived from several districts, including Khairpur, Dadu, and Nawabshah, to showcase their well-trained animals. Among the prominent participants were Riaz Dogar, Lal Bakhsh Rajpar, Abdul Hakeem Brohi, Gulzar Qazaq, Muneer Memon, Ehsan Memon, Azizullah Panhwar, Arbab Lanjar, Nazir Leghari, and Syed Rustam Shah. Each brought their pairs of bulls to compete and perform in the traditional Hur Kheeri race, a cultural sport rooted deeply in Sindh’s agrarian and rural heritage.

As the races began, the air was filled with the sound of cheering crowds, traditional Sindhi music, and celebratory drumbeats. Bull riders demonstrated their skills in maneuvering their animals through the muddy fields, earning applause and appreciation from hundreds of spectators. Some of the best-performing bulls and riders were honored with audience-given prizes as a gesture of admiration.
