An important meeting of the Tax Committee was held under the chairmanship of Chairman Municipal Corporation Manghopir Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi, in which various aspects related to making the tax system more transparent, integrated and people-friendly at the local level were discussed in detail.
The meeting was attended by Vice Chairman Manghopir Town Rana Arif, Chairman of the Tax Committee Ali Hassan Brohi, Director Tax Akbar Bhumro, Deputy Director Suraya Rahmani, Inspector Tax and other relevant officers and officials of the Tax Department.
During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on improving the tax collection process, effective strategies for collections from defaulters, and the launch of an awareness campaign to raise public awareness. All the participants unanimously emphasized that the use of modern technology is indispensable to make the tax system functional, transparent and organized.
Chairman Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi, while addressing the meeting, said that the development, financial stability and provision of better services of any local government body are directly linked to a transparent tax system. He directed the officers to ensure transparency, convenience, honesty and accountability in all stages of tax collection so that public confidence is restored and the financial autonomy of the town is strengthened.

Briefing the meeting on the current situation, Director Tax Akbar Bhumro said that the department is fulfilling its responsibilities to the best of its ability. He said that the complete tax record is being compiled under a digital system to ensure transparency and efficiency in the system.

It was decided in the meeting that seminars, banners, handbills and social media campaigns will be launched at the local level to make the public aware of the importance of tax, the benefits of paying it and its role in local government development.

On this occasion, Vice Chairman Manghopir Town Rana Arif and Chairman Tax Committee Ali Hassan Brohi also expressed their determination to remain active at all times to develop the tax system on the basis of honesty, transparency and effectiveness, so that Manghopir Town can be transformed into an exemplary local government institution.
At the end of the meeting, Chairman Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi thanked all the participants and said that the dynamic role of the Tax Committee is indispensable for the financial improvement of the institution, transparent governance and public welfare. He assured that all available resources will be utilized to keep Manghopir Town on the path of development and prosperity.
