Relief for Bangladesh Cricket Board as Media Rights for Pakistan Series Sold

The media rights for the upcoming T20I series between Pakistan and Bangladesh have been successfully sold.
According to Bangladeshi media, this comes as a sigh of relief for the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), which has managed to sell the media rights for the T20 series scheduled between the two countries.
Reports state that the BCB has secured the worldwide media rights for the three-match series against Pakistan.
Initially, the rights were supposed to be sold through an open bidding process, but no company met the floor price, which was reportedly set at 40 million Bangladeshi Taka. In fact, no offer even reached half that amount.
According to media sources, BCB officials made what were described as unrealistic offers, and eventually, some companies were contacted directly.
A board official confirmed that the BCB has now received the expected amount as per their financial target.
It’s worth noting that the BCB had earlier failed to sell the rights for the Bangladesh–New Zealand Test series.
The T20I matches between Pakistan and Bangladesh are scheduled for July 20, 22, and 24.Tools
