LAHORE: Lahore Qalandars have officially announced their squad for the upcoming Global Super League (GSL) to be held in Guyana, with New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell appointed as the team’s captain.

The franchise unveiled its squad ahead of the tournament, naming a balanced mix of experienced players and emerging talent. The team includes Parvez Hossain, Shayan Jahangir, Delano Potgieter, and Pakistan international Abdullah Shafique.

The rest of the squad comprises Usama Mir, Shamil Hussain, Mohammad Naeem, Imran Randhawa, Mehran Mumtaz, Farhan Yousuf, Shahab Khan, Mohammad Basit, and Ali Shabbir.

In addition to announcing the playing squad, Lahore Qalandars confirmed the appointment of former Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait as the team’s head coach for the tournament. Tait, who has extensive coaching experience in franchise cricket around the world, is expected to bring valuable expertise and international experience to the side.

The announcements were made by Lahore Qalandars Chief Executive Officer Atif Rana, who expressed confidence in the team’s ability to perform strongly in the competition.

The Global Super League is expected to feature champion franchise teams from different cricket-playing nations, providing players with the opportunity to compete against top international talent in a highly competitive environment.

With Michael Bracewell leading the side and Shaun Tait guiding the team from the dugout, Lahore Qalandars will aim to make a strong impression in the inaugural edition of the tournament and add another international title to the franchise’s achievements.
