Islamabad (September 11, 2025): Bangladesh has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by recent floods in Pakistan and has offered assistance to support recovery efforts.

On Thursday, Bangladesh’s Adviser for Religious Affairs, A.F.M. Khalid Hussain, met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and handed over a letter from Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser, Muhammad Yunus. The meeting was also attended by Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, Md. Iqbal Hussain Khan.

• Khalid Hussain conveyed condolences and offered aid on behalf of Bangladesh.
• Both sides agreed to maintain the momentum of bilateral relations through high-level visits.
• Discussions were held on the possibility of resuming direct flights between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
• The Bangladeshi adviser extended an invitation to PM Shehbaz Sharif to visit Bangladesh.
