In a commendable effort to provide basic healthcare facilities to the public, a free medical camp was organized in Sukkur under the banner of Team Aks-e-Hayat with the support of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). The initiative aimed to offer free medical consultations and medicines to underprivileged citizens at a time when rising inflation has made healthcare increasingly unaffordable for many families.

The medical camp was set up at the PML-N Secretariat House in New Pind, Sukkur, and remained operational from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. During these hours, a large number of residents from different areas of the city visited the camp and benefited from the free medical services. Men, women, children, and elderly citizens were seen lining up to receive medical checkups, reflecting the growing demand for accessible healthcare services in the region.

Renowned cardiologist Dr. Muhammad Wajih Sheikh provided free medical examinations to patients suffering from heart-related conditions, while skin specialist Dr. Aliza Sheikh examined patients with various dermatological issues. Both doctors offered professional medical advice, diagnosed health problems, and prescribed appropriate treatments. In addition to consultations, free medicines were also distributed to patients, further easing the financial burden on low-income families.

Hundreds of patients benefited from the camp, many of whom expressed relief and gratitude for receiving quality healthcare services without cost. Several visitors shared that due to financial constraints, they often delay or avoid medical treatment, making such initiatives extremely valuable for the community. The camp ensured an organized system to manage patient flow, allowing maximum number of people to be attended efficiently within the limited time.

Speaking on the occasion, PML-N district president Khurshid Mirani emphasized that public service is his foremost mission. He stated that in the current era of inflation, providing free medical facilities to deserving individuals has become a crucial social responsibility. “Healthcare is a basic right, not a privilege,” he said, adding that initiatives like these are meant to support those who cannot afford expensive medical consultations and medicines.

Khurshid Mirani further said that the PML-N believes in practical service rather than slogans, and such welfare activities reflect the party’s commitment to the wellbeing of the masses. He announced that similar medical camps and welfare initiatives would continue in the future to ensure sustained support for the people of Sukkur.

Sukkur Small Traders Association President Haji Muhammad Javed Memon also visited the medical camp. He appreciated the arrangements and praised the efforts of Team Aks-e-Hayat and PML-N leadership for organizing a well-managed and meaningful welfare activity. He noted that collaboration between political organizations and social welfare teams can play a vital role in addressing public health challenges at the grassroots level.

Citizens visiting the camp expressed satisfaction with the medical services and arrangements. Many residents termed the continuity of welfare activities at the PML-N Secretariat House as a positive and encouraging development. They thanked Team Aks-e-Hayat, Khurshid Mirani, and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz for their efforts in serving the community.

Public circles described the free medical camp as a role model for other political and social organizations. According to local residents, such initiatives not only provide immediate relief to patients but also promote awareness about health issues and preventive care.
