London (Reporter) – Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, former Foreign Minister, and head of the Pakistani diplomatic delegation, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, stated that if the United States must drag India by the ear to bring it to the negotiating table, it would serve global interests.

Speaking to the media in London, Bilawal Bhutto said that US President Donald Trump has repeatedly and clearly stated that peace should prevail in this region.

He said, “We consider President Trump’s statements as commitments, whereas India continues to ignore such statements, sticking to its stubborn stance.”

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari mentioned that India recently passed a controversial law regarding Kashmir and labeled it as an internal matter. However, President Trump’s statements have once again brought international attention to the Kashmir issue, making it clear that Kashmir is not an internal matter of one country but a disputed region between two nations.

He added that the Pakistani delegation met leaders of various political parties in the UK, who believed that discussions on the Kashmir issue would now be more effective.

The former foreign minister emphasized that all issues — including Kashmir, terrorism, and water — can only be resolved through dialogue, as war is never a solution.

Bilawal stated that Pakistan has always upheld ceasefire agreements, whereas India’s stance has been based on falsehoods from the beginning. According to the PPP chairman, there is a significant difference between the media in India and Pakistan — Indian “Godi media” spreads propaganda, while Pakistani media reports responsibly, for which he praised the local media.

In response to a question, Bilawal said Pakistan gave a strong and effective reply to Indian aggression.

He further revealed that, due to effective wartime strategy, Army Chief General Asim Munir was awarded the honorary title of Field Marshal — a recognition of his services.

Bilawal Bhutto noted that, under the Indus Waters Treaty, India cannot unilaterally suspend or terminate the agreement as it is a globally recognized treaty.

Issuing a warning, he said no country has the right to threaten to cancel such agreements, and if India acts on this threat, Pakistan has made it clear that such a move would be considered an act of war.

Regarding a question about Indian terrorism in Canada, the US, and Pakistan, Bilawal accused India of hypocrisy — saying that while India blames Pakistan, no country in the world stands with it.

He alleged that India funds terrorist organizations and orchestrates acts of terrorism. He cited the killing of Sikh leaders in Canada, calling Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s statement a “slap in the face” for India.

He added that several countries, including Australia, have been affected by Indian-sponsored terrorism, and India must stop using terrorism as a tool of its foreign policy.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari demanded that India stop funding banned groups like the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and the Majid Brigade, so its claims of fighting terrorism can be taken seriously.

He also said that serious allegations of genocide against Muslims have been leveled against the current Indian Prime Minister. Escalating tensions with Pakistan through false and provocative statements is not bravery but a threat to regional and global peace.

He reminded that Pakistan had previously shot down an Indian jet and returned pilot Abhinandan after offering him tea — a clear demonstration of India’s violation of Pakistani airspace.

Bilawal said India knows that Pakistan had no involvement in the Pulwama attack. It was a failure of their own intelligence, which they tried to cover up by blaming Pakistan and gaining electoral advantage in Indian elections. However, Pakistan gave a strong response and thwarted India’s attempt to dominate the region.
