CM KP Lays Foundation Stone of Rs1.6 Billion Underpass Project in Peshawar

Peshawar: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi has laid the foundation stone of a new underpass project at the Ring Road PDA Toll Plaza in Hayatabad, marking the formal launch of a major infrastructure development initiative in the provincial capital.

Details of the Underpass Project

Addressing the foundation stone ceremony, the chief minister said that the underpass will be constructed as a two-lane facility with an estimated cost of Rs1.6 billion.

He stated that the project is part of broader efforts to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion in key areas of Peshawar, particularly along busy transit routes.

Peshawar Rehabilitation Programme

Sohail Afridi also highlighted the wider development plan, saying that the Rs200 billion Peshawar Rehabilitation Programme has been finalized in consultation with all relevant stakeholders.

He said the comprehensive program is designed to upgrade urban infrastructure, improve transportation systems, and enhance public facilities across the city.
