Pakistan Railways Police Sukkur Pays Tribute to Martyrs on Police Martyrs’ Day

Sukkur: Pakistan Railways Police Sukkur Division observed Police Martyrs’ Day with great respect, patriotism, and solemnity on August 4, 2026, holding commemorative ceremonies at the SRP Office, all railway police stations, police lines, and railway installations across the division.

The events were organized in accordance with the directives of Inspector General, Pakistan Railways Police, Muhammad Wisal Fakhar Sultan, to honor the sacrifices of police martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

Commemorative banners were displayed at railway police stations, police lines, and railway facilities, while candlelight tributes were held in the evening in memory of the fallen personnel. The day began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, completion of Quran Khawani, and special prayers (Fateha) for the martyrs. At 8:00 a.m., officers and personnel across the division observed a one-minute silence to pay tribute to their sacrifices.

Families of the martyrs were specially invited to the ceremonies, where they were presented with flowers, sweets, gifts, and financial assistance on behalf of the Inspector General of Pakistan Railways Police. Families living in remote areas also received visits from railway police officials, who delivered flowers, gifts, sweets, and cash assistance to ensure they felt remembered and supported.

Speakers at the ceremonies praised the courage, bravery, and unwavering dedication of the police martyrs, describing their sacrifices as a lasting source of pride for the nation. The families of the martyrs were also given an opportunity to share their thoughts and expressed gratitude for the respect, recognition, and continued support extended by the Pakistan Railways Police.

Special prayers were also offered at the graves of the martyrs after floral wreaths were laid. Prayers were held for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks, the peace and security of Pakistan, and the continued success of the Pakistan Railways Police.

On the occasion, SP Railways Police Shahid Nawaz reaffirmed the department’s commitment to always honor the sacrifices of its martyrs and to continue supporting the welfare and well-being of their families.
