According to official details, the two federal ministers arrived unexpectedly at the airport and spent nearly two hours examining the situation at various immigration counters. Their visit came amid increasing public complaints about delays and alleged irregularities in immigration procedures. Upon observing heavy crowds and slow processing at the counters, Interior Minister Naqvi expressed dissatisfaction and instructed concerned officials to improve the efficiency of the process immediately.

During their interaction with outbound passengers, the ministers asked about the difficulties they faced during immigration clearance. Chaudhry Salik Hussain also examined travel documents, including protective stickers used for overseas employment verification. The inspection revealed several concerning issues, including cases where passengers were attempting to travel abroad without essential qualifications or job-related documents.

One incident involved a young man traveling overseas for a driver’s job but lacking a valid driving license. Another case uncovered during the visit involved a passenger who was allegedly being facilitated by an FIA official despite incomplete documentation. The passenger was off-loaded when the matter came to light. Authorities also assured the off-loaded traveler that the money he paid to a private recruitment company would be recovered and refunded.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi took serious notice of these incidents. He praised the immigration officials who halted the two passengers attempting to travel without proper documentation, calling their actions a vital step in protecting Pakistan from reputational damage abroad. The minister rewarded the vigilant officials with cash prizes from his own pocket and announced that they would also receive official appreciation certificates.
