New York: A fire broke out on the Brooklyn Bridge during Fourth of July celebrations in New York City, but firefighters responded swiftly and brought the blaze under control without any reported injuries.

According to the New York Fire Department (FDNY), the incident occurred on July 4, prompting the immediate deployment of two fire engines to extinguish the fire.

Officials confirmed that no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Authorities said the Brooklyn Bridge had already been closed to vehicular traffic because of the Independence Day fireworks display, and no vehicles were permitted on the bridge at the time the fire broke out.

An FDNY spokesperson said that incidents of this nature are not uncommon during large-scale fireworks events, adding that spectators are kept at a safe distance as part of established safety protocols.
