Thatta, October 8, 2025 — The Thatta Police have arrested three suspects involved in a road robbery and recovered cash, mobile phones, identification cards, and the motorcycle used in the crime. The swift action was carried out under the directives of IGP Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, DIG Hyderabad Range Tariq Razaq Daharijo, and SSP Thatta Farooq Ahmed Bajarani as part of an ongoing crackdown against habitual offenders and criminal elements across the district.

According to police details, on the night of October 6, 2025, three armed suspects intercepted a man named Nawaz Ali Mallah near Purani Pul, Gharo, and snatched Rs. 3,000 in cash and a mobile phone before fleeing the scene. A case (FIR No. 214/2025) was registered under Sections 392 and 397 of the Pakistan Penal Code at Gharo Police Station on the complaint of the victim.

Following the SSP’s special instructions, SHO Gharo Police Station Inspector Muhammad Ali Damra and his team launched an investigation. Acting on a confidential tip-off, the police conducted a successful raid at Jam Branch Stop on Gharo–Sakro Road and apprehended the three suspects — Nawaz son of Ilyas Gabol, Ali Akbar son of Ibrahim Khaskheli, and Mubarak son of Muhammad Bakhsh Shidi — who were wanted in the robbery case.

During the initial interrogation, the police recovered Rs. 3,000 in cash and the stolen mobile phone belonging to the complainant. Further investigation led to the recovery of three additional mobile phones and several identification cards that were stolen in other incidents. The motorcycle (CD-70) used in these robberies was also seized.

The arrested suspects confessed to their involvement in multiple road robbery cases within the district, and their criminal records are being verified through police databases. After verification, the recovered mobile phones and identification cards were returned to their rightful owners.

SSP Thatta Farooq Ahmed Bajarani praised the Gharo Police team for their swift and effective action, reaffirming that the district police remain committed to eliminating criminal activities and ensuring the safety and security of citizens through proactive policing and intelligence-based operations.

Further investigation into the suspects’ network and possible involvement in other crimes is currently underway.
