We Will Neither Bow to Pressure Nor Halt Nuclear Program: Iranian President
Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has made it clear that Iran will not accept any pressure regarding its nuclear policy, nor will it cease its nuclear research.
Addressing a gathering in Iran’s Ilam province, he stated that Iran is striving to obtain nuclear energy for the advancement of science, industry, medicine, and agriculture, for which it does not require the West’s approval.
He emphasized that no power has the right to prevent Iran from pursuing scientific research.
The Iranian President said that the West does not have the authority to demand a rollback of Iran’s nuclear program, especially when the country’s Supreme Leader has ordered that Iran will not develop nuclear weapons.
On the other hand, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has passed a resolution against Iran, expressing concerns over potential violations of nuclear weapons non-proliferation.
It is worth noting that there is ongoing diplomatic tension between Iran and the United States over uranium enrichment, and since April, Iran has engaged in talks five times to possibly establish a new agreement to replace the 2015 nuclear deal.
