Sukkur (Report by Zulfiqar ) – In response to the growing wave of lawlessness, rising crime, robberies, thefts, and looting incidents in Sukkur city, the Hindu Panchayat Sukkur staged a strong protest in front of the Sukkur Press Club and held a symbolic sit-in.

The protest was led by Hindu Panchayat leaders including Miki Ishwar Lal, Sunil Kumar, Chander Bhan, and others. The demonstration saw participation from Hindu Panchayat members, traders, citizens, and people from various walks of life.

Speaking to the media, central leader Miki Ishwar Lal said that Sukkur has been left at the mercy of criminal elements. “Whether traders or common citizens, no one feels safe anymore. Daylight robberies, thefts, and other criminal activities have created a climate of fear among the public,” he said.

Referring to a recent incident, he demanded immediate arrest of the culprits involved and recovery of the stolen money, while also urging that Heera Lal be given protection and justice.

He further stated that the police and other law enforcement agencies have completely failed in fulfilling their responsibilities. “Criminals operate without fear, and citizens are feeling increasingly insecure,” he added.

Miki Ishwar Lal expressed that the Hindu community living in Sukkur feels unsafe and this has caused deep concern. He demanded that police and other concerned authorities take immediate and effective steps to restore peace and order in the city.

He also appealed to political, social, and religious leaders, lawyers, journalists, and civil society to raise their voices against this serious situation and pressure the government to ensure citizens’ safety.

The protesters carried banners and placards with demands for restoring law and order, ensuring citizens’ safety, and taking action against criminal elements.

In conclusion, the protesters warned that if immediate and effective action is not taken, the scope of their protest will be expanded.
