Badin: The Young Muslim Khatri Welfare Society Badin continues its efforts to promote the intellectual development and future opportunities of young students by organizing various educational and skill-based programs. As part of this ongoing initiative, a one-day training session for school and college students was held on January 18 at the Khatri Community Hall in collaboration with the Mehran Association of Scrabble and Spelling.

The training session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, both boys and girls, representing various schools and colleges of the district. The event aimed to enhance students’ mental abilities, vocabulary skills, and strategic thinking through the popular word game Scrabble.

Renowned Scrabble experts from the community, Rafiq Dawood Khatri and Abdul Razzaq Khatri, served as trainers during the session. They provided comprehensive guidance on the importance of Scrabble, its rules, regulations, and advanced playing techniques. The trainers explained how the game contributes to cognitive development, language proficiency, and analytical thinking among students.

Participants expressed keen interest throughout the session and actively engaged in learning the fundamentals and strategies of the game. Many students stated that the training helped them better understand Scrabble and motivated them to further develop their skills. They also appreciated the Young Muslim Khatri Welfare Society for organizing such a constructive and educational activity.

The organizers announced that later this year, inter-district Scrabble competitions will be arranged among students of various schools and colleges in Badin. Outstanding and interested players will also be given opportunities to participate in Scrabble competitions at the national level, providing them with exposure and a platform to showcase their talent across Pakistan.

The success of the training session was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the organization’s General Secretary, Anees Yousuf Khatri, along with Yasir Khatri, Abdul Karim Khatri, Junaid Khatri, and other volunteers, who played a vital role in planning and execution of the event.

Speaking on the occasion, the organizers reiterated their commitment to promoting educational, intellectual, and extracurricular activities for youth. They emphasized that such initiatives are essential for nurturing talent, building confidence, and preparing students for future challenges.

The training session concluded on a positive note, with participants and organizers expressing hope that similar educational and skill-enhancing programs would continue to be held for the benefit of the younger generation in Badin.
