Uzma Bukhari Says PPP Owes Many Apologies to Sindh, Not Punjab

Lahore: Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari has said that if the matter is about apologies, then the Sindh government owes many, asking what exactly Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz should apologize for. “It was the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) that started this, and ending it is also in their hands,” she remarked.

Speaking on Geo Pakistan, Uzma Bukhari said that PPP leaders hold press conferences daily and use offensive language, adding that the Punjab government cannot remain silent in response. “They keep targeting us because they want to weaken the federation,” she said, criticizing PPP’s political behavior.

Bukhari questioned the PPP’s intentions, saying, “I don’t understand what they want. Can’t our people hold press conferences too? Can’t we use strong language? Of course we can—but unlike them, we have better things to do with our time.”

She added that Punjab’s leadership remains focused on governance and public welfare rather than engaging in unnecessary political battles.
