The Supreme Court on Tuesday summoned the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh in person on the next hearing expressing displeasure over delay in registering murder cases. 

While hearing appeal of an accused in a murder case, the apex court also summoned the Advocate General Sindh and DIG Sukkur. 

Justice Hashim Kakar remarked that there is no concept of punishment or reward in Sindh. 

Sindh Police is acquitting people themselves, Justice Hashim Kakar further remarked.

Justice Salahuddin Panhor remarked that the situation in Sukkur and Larkana is very bad.

In this case, the case was registered two days after the murder and in many cases, the police shy away from registering cases, Justice Hashim Kakar remarked.

The court directed the lawyers to prepare more and adjourned the hearing of the case till September 17.

A three-member bench headed by Justice Hashim Kakar heard the case.
