Attempt to smuggle flour, wheat from Punjab to KP foiled in Attock
The Food Department has foiled an attempt to smuggle flour and wheat from Punjab to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Attock.
During operations on the GT Road Hassan Abdal and the M-1 Motorway, six suspicious trucks were searched, resulting in the seizure of 64 tons of flour and 43 tons of wheat.
According to officials, the drivers of these vehicles possessed no legal permits or documentation for transporting the flour and wheat.
The Food Department transferred the seized commodities to government warehouses and impounded the six trucks, and arrested the drivers involved.
Further interrogation of the arrested drivers is underway.
