MQM-P closes Bahadurabad headquarters after violent clash, top leadership launches probe

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) temporarily closed its Bahadurabad headquarters on Sunday following a violent clash between two groups of party workers, citing security concerns.

According to party sources, MQM-P Chairman Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and senior leader Farooq Sattar left the Bahadurabad headquarters after the incident. Sources said all party workers were asked to vacate the premises and the adjoining areas as part of security measures taken in the aftermath of the clash.

Earlier in the day, two groups of MQM-P workers reportedly clashed at the party’s central office in Bahadurabad, creating a tense situation at the headquarters.

Party sources said the MQM-P’s top leadership has launched an internal inquiry and is investigating the incident from various angles to determine the circumstances that led to the confrontation.

No official statement has yet been issued by the party regarding the findings of the inquiry or any disciplinary action against those involved. Authorities continue to monitor the situation to prevent any further unrest.
