Iran Bans IAEA Chief from Visiting Nuclear Sites

June 29, 2025 – 10:04 AM

Tehran (Sunday, June 29, 2025) – The Deputy Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Hamed Reza Haji Babaei, has announced that Iran has imposed a ban on International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi from visiting Iranian nuclear sites.

Haji Babaei stated that this decision was made because information regarding Iran’s nuclear facilities was found in documents obtained by the Israeli government. He added that the IAEA will no longer be allowed to install cameras to monitor these facilities.

Additionally, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Grossi’s visit would be meaningless and possibly driven by ill intentions.

Previously, the Iranian Parliament had already approved ending cooperation with the IAEA, and the Speaker of Parliament had labeled Grossi as a protector and servant of Israel. It is worth noting that Rafael Grossi had expressed his intention to visit Iran’s nuclear sites following U.S. attacks on them
