Sukkur The Assistant Commissioner (AC) Kashif Gulzar Sheikh of SEPCO Ghotki Circle, while addressing a press conference in Old Sukkur Sub-Division, announced that a strict and large-scale operation against electricity theft in commercial and industrial areas is currently underway under special directives from the Power Division and the Ministry of Energy.

He said that the operation has now been further intensified, and wherever cases of electricity theft, illegal connections (kundas), or increased line losses are identified in commercial or industrial zones, immediate and indiscriminate action will be taken. He made it clear that electricity theft will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and violators will face strict legal proceedings.

The AC added that special measures are being taken to reduce line losses, improve recovery, and strengthen the overall power distribution system. Field teams have been issued clear instructions to ensure effective operations in industrial and commercial areas without any delay or negligence.

He further stated that a dedicated strategy has been prepared to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during Eid-ul-Adha. According to him, all available resources are being utilized to control load shedding and maintain stable power distribution so that citizens do not face inconvenience during the festive period.

Kashif Gulzar Sheikh also appealed to the public to immediately contact SEPCO offices in case of any billing issues or electricity-related complaints so that problems can be resolved promptly.
